AGROVIVAS compost making start up company Ecuador

Agrovivas is a family start-up established in 2020 in Ecuador during the pandemic with the primary objective of solving environmental problems related to urban and domestic solid waste.

Agrovivas focuses on advocating for composting and urban agriculture. Our central vision is to make our city a benchmark in bio-agriculture and zero-waste models by spreading environmental awareness and teaching new habits of on-site separating of solid waste. Currently, we work in Quito city with 500 families and ensure that more than 25 tons of organic waste are no longer wasted in the trash. Instead, it is transformed into compost used for gardens and reforestation projects. These projects aim to fight against global warming and encourage the production of more organic food.
